FreeCell Solitaire is a card game that is played with 52 cards, includes all cards from the deck except the Jokers. The game is very popular among card game players, and this is mainly due to Microsoft, who has been supplying the game with every release of the Windows operating system since 1995. The game on this website uses game numbers. Each FreeCell game has a unique number so you can always find your favorite game.
FreeCell Solitaire Rules
In the playing field you will see 8 columns with playing cards that are dealt face-up. The goal of FreeCell is to move all these cards to the 4 empty boxes in the top right corner where they will be placed in color and in order from Ace to King. So you start by looking for the lowest cards, that is, the Ace, then 2, 3, 4 etc. Each of the 4 empty boxes must contain 1 particular color, so you get a box with clubs, spades, hearts and diamonds. If all these 4 boxes are full and the playing field is empty, then you have won the game.
We now know that the 4 empty boxes should always start with an Ace and to find these low cards you must sort cards in the playing field. You can move cards from one column to another in the playing field. A card only fits on another card if it is 1 point lower in value than the target card and has a different color (red vs. black), for example, a red 4 fits on a black 5. At the top left you can also see 4 free boxes, these are the "Free Cells" which you can use as temporary storage during the sorting of the cards.
